The Cantonal Hospital Winterthur (KSW) is the leading hospital in the greater Winterthur area in terms of expertise, quality, and cost-effectiveness. With 500 beds and 14 operating rooms, it provides basic medical care for nearly a quarter of a million people. As a central hospital, the KSW also provides highly specialized medical services – especially in the areas of emergency medicine and pediatric and adolescent medicine – for around half a million residents between Wetzikon and Schaffhausen.
